Limoges

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Darryl Morris Hyson 74 yrs (Limoges, ON). He departed peacefully in hospital March 4th in Ottawa. Darryl was a special guy with a kind heart and loved by all who met and came to know him. His big beautiful smile and brilliant blue eyes melted your heart. He was always willing to help others in need. Before his retirement Darryl was employed for 35 years with Sansom Equipment in Truro, Nova Scotia. Darryl was a skilled handy man who enjoyed scuba diving, snowmobiling and after retirement horseback riding and traveling in the USA chasing the 70 degree weather. He loved his animals Ladd (horse), Kiro (dog) and of course Smudge (cat). Perhaps the one thing Darryl was most well known for was his love of seafood, especially Nova Scotia lobster. While snow-birding in Arizona this winter, Darryl was reintroduced to Christianity through the Cowboy Church. There he found good fellowship and like minded men.

He is survived by his wife Cindy (nee Hines), his daughter Rhonda (Barry) Hyson, sons Neil (Courtney) Hyson, Nicholas (Vanessa) Hyson, and step-son Adam (Gabriel)MacLeod. As well as 8 grandchildren along with his 8 siblings: Lindy(Carol) Hyson; Patsy Anne (Joe) Hine; Roxanne Hyson-Ennis; Ian (Wendy) Hyson; Arne(Dianne) Hyson; Daphne(Jerry) Hartley; Nadine(Mike) Robart; Craig Hyson. He was predeceased by his parents Ronald and Myrna Hyson.

Cremation has taken place with final resting in Indian Point, Nova Scotia.

“Darryl, you have been called home to be with the Lord.”
