“ Davenarayan Maharaj of Etobicoke, Ontario passed away very peacefully on Wednesday January 12, 2022 at his home surrounded by his children and family friends.
Davenarayan was born on March 16, 1928 in
Tuna Puna, Trinidad West Indies to Jankee and Ramsunder Maharaj.
Davenarayan is predeceased by his loving wife Indra Sigloolam Maharaj and his dear sister
Dhanna Ramoutar.
In his spare time he loved taking his family on long drives and road trips and being outdoors.
Davenarayan was passionate about photography and always had his camera handy to capture some of lifes most precious moments.
Davenarayan was fortunate to have lived a long healthy life and remained close to children and dearest family friends.
Davenarayan is survived by his 4 children
Nirmala, Praimanand, Sivanand and Soosheil
Grandchildren Navindra, Nikesh, Pallavi and Suvana, son in law Shamie and daughter in law Rekha.
He will be sadly missed by everyone he knew and touched but will remain close in our hearts.”
