KING,David E.C. P.Eng.(Metallurgist) Peacefully at The Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre on July 13, 2014 in his 87th year having sustained a stroke.Dave was an Allied WWII Veteran who served in the UK Territorial Army in the Royal Signals. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 618 in Stittsville. Cremation has taken place. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Ann King. Loving father of Owen (Betty) and Trevor (Lidia). Grandfather of Lesley and Alexei. Stepfather of Susan Stone (Dave) and Carol. Step-grandfather to Amanda, Matthew and Ryan Stone. Predeceased by sisters Vera, Sybil, Winnie, Mona and by brother John (Pearl). Survived by brother Alec King (Joan) - all from Milford Haven, Wales where Dave was born. Dave had a respected career in mineral extraction processes worldwide. Dave was an active local dinghy sailor and skippered bare-boat charters on vacations with family and friends in the Caribbean.
