Deborah Anne Scott Feb 11,1965 – April 18, 2019
Debbie left us much too early. But early and quick was a theme right from day one. Deb wouldn’t wait to be delivered at the Vancouver hospital but insisted on being born on the Nimkish Navy vessel over Quatsino Sound near Northwestern Vancouver Island. Debbie and her older sister Laura were born army brats, daughters to both John Edward Scott and Jean Elizabeth ( Watt ). Deb grew up on army bases across the country, from Holberg BC, then on to North Bay Ontario, Goose Bay Labrador, Falconbridge Ontario, before settling down into her teen years in Ottawa. Debbie was never really a fan of school. In fact, according to her parents, Deb began skipping classes at the early age of five. Notwithstanding her thoughts about school, Deb graduated from Gloucester Secondary School in Ottawa. Her love of all animals led her to post secondary education at Durham College to study Veterinary Tech. While Deborah loved her horses, cats, dogs, chickens and goats on her farm near Lindsay Ontario, nothing made Deb more proud and happy than to be with her two boys, Scott and Cameron and her two grandsons, Elijah and Hadley . Deb loved being surrounded by her family and friends, with a cold Busch beer in her hand, or the occasional Gibson and diet. According to her son Scott, it was highly recommended that Deb pass on Tequila! Deb was especially proud to host Scott and Cameron’s annual Summer Concert Fest/ Pig Roast weekend held on her farm grounds.
Deb is survived by her father John, mother Jean, her sons Scott and Cameron ( Britney), sister Laura Lamarche ( Norm), grandsons Elijah and Hadley, niece Chantale and nephew Alex, aunts/uncles/cousins from Toronto to Perth, especially cousin Terry.
