Derry Antony Gilkes

Derry was an amazing selfless friend, in the true meaning of the word . If he had it, and you needed it, it was yours. His selflessness even extended to complete strangers.
When he spoke, his words were not lacking of a chuckle, which made you feel loved, knowing that he is enjoying every moment being spent with you.
He forged unforgettable relationships and shared many laughs with the gang at Mississauga Transit, Nutco and the boys at the shop.
Derry was always part of a team, a true athlete, whether it be baseball, hockey, bowling and last but certainly not least roller skating.
His love for family and friends might only have been matched by his love of anything with an engine especially his Mustang. Like his father, Nat, in Derry’s own words “like father like son.”
A great father, son, brother, companion, uncle, friend and a fine gentleman. Derry will truly be missed.
