Dimitrios Deris
Born June 18th, 1937 in Trikalla Greece, beloved Husband, Father, Grand Father and Brother, Dimitrios Deris peacefully passed away surrounded by his immediate family.
He’s survived by his anchor and soul mate, his wife of over 52 Years Vassiliki Deris and his two sons George and Kosta Deris.
Proud Grandfather to his two grandchildren Dimitrios Deris and Christalla Deris ages 15 & 13. Loved and cherished by his two beautiful daughter in-laws Panayiota Deris and Patty Mazzotta.
Dimitrios lived a full and joyful life. With many travels to his home country Greece. While retired, he took numerous vacations with his wife and friends to multiple carribean destinations. He embodied family values and lived by high moral standards.
In 2005 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He beat the odds with the help of his wife Vassiliki Deris and great care from Toronto General Hospital and not only survived, but lived an amazing additional 13 years! As a family we were blessed to have him in our lives. His support and wisdom will forever be cherished as we know his spirit will continue to guide us throughout the rest of our lives.

Burial Date: January 3, 2018
Viewing will take place Tuesday Jan 2nd , 2018 from 6pm to 9pm at St John's Greek Orthodox Church located atFuneral Service on Wednesday Jan 3rd from 10am to 11am at St John's Greek Orthodox Church proceeding to cementary at Elgin Mills Cementary located at"Makaria" (interment meal) will be held back at St John's after cemetery.
