Domenico Gioseppe "Joe" Mallozzi

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Domenico “Joe” Mallozzi on December 19, 2024 at the age of 68.

He is survived by his two sons, Eric and Skyler, his sister Ita Cole, his partner Barbie Bailey, and Barbie’s daughter Hartleigh. He also leaves nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends and associates who will forever cherish the memories they had with him through his almost seventy years of life.

Joe was always the heart of the party. Whether it was taking over the dance floor at a wedding, cracking jokes with the biggest smile on his face (funny or not), or insisting on picking up the tab at the bar with his friends; he always wanted everyone to enjoy the good times and have as much fun as he did. Joe was the centrepiece of pickup hockey, where he planned and organized it for 30+ years, while also giving them a hard time with his skills on the ice.

We thank his partner Barbie for her endless love and caring for him through their four years together. They were among the happiest years of his life.

It was Joe’s request to have a Celebration of Life in place of a funeral. This will happen early into 2025, and will advise his family and friends of the details in the new year.
