Don Cherry

Don Cherry passed peacefully at the Bethel House Hospice on Sunday August 9th, 2020. As was true to his character, he went out joking with the nurses and making his wife Shirley and sister Lorraine laugh.

He was a stickler for doing a good job for others and was Mr. Safety on and off the job. He was a pillar for his family and friends, always being willing to help out. He will be missed.

Don was predeceased by his mother Kathleen and father Lloyd Cherry. He leaves behind his wife Shirley, son Jay Edwards; his sister Lorraine and brother in-Law Larry Kobre; his nephews Paul and his companion Lesley Morgan and Michael and his daughter Grace; his sister Irene and husband Giulio Mariotti and their daughters Lisa and husband Glenn Desjardins and Andrea and Frank Di Rosa and their children Angelina and Leonardo; his brother John and wife Marg Cherry and their children Brian and Brenda; and sister Katherine Johnston and her sons Robbie and his wife Jamie, and her daughter Alyssa and Haley and her son Levi; and Johnny and his wife Darlene, and their children Bailey, Brianna and Tia, and her children Eden, Kyson, and Jakston.

Memorial Service:

A memorial event will be hosted on zoom on Saturday, August 22nd from 11 am to 1pm. Invitations will be sent by email from Trish Robichaud of Changing Paces with a link to join the video call. You must have zoom installed on your computer. It is free of charge. If you wish to attend please contact shirley@boomer3.com or call/text 647-827-0821.

Please provide your own ‘church lady’ sandwiches and bevvies. Come prepared to listen to, enjoy and share a fun, fond or happy memory of Don if you’d like.
