Donald James Joseph Houghton            Elizabeth(Betty) Yvonne Houghton(nee Dumont)

We are saddened to announce the loss of both of our parents just 3 months apart.

Donald passing peacefully on 10/26/2024 at RVH Barrie.

Donald was predeceased by his parents Percy and Olive Houghton.

And survived by his brother Murray(D/Betty) of Halifax Nova Scotia.

Betty followed Donald only 3 months later on 01/25/2025 also passing peacefully at RVH Barrie.

Betty was predeceased by her mother Olive Constable(Wally) and father Napolean Dumont, brother Gerry(Jeanette), and sister Shirley(JIM).She is survived by her Brother Wayne(Donelda) all of Barrie ON.

Both Don and Betty will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins and especially missed by her Aunt Germaine of Penetanguishine On, along with many friends and neighbours.

Both Mom and Dad are survived and will be sadly missed by their children.

Pam(Richard) of Peterborough ON, Debra(D/Kevin) of Hamilton ON, Shawn(Cindy) of Midland ON.

And grandchildren Karmen(Phil) of Cobourg ON, Tasha(Bob) of Kitchener ON, Stephen of Hamilton ON, Cameron(Joana) of Hagersville ON, Bryar of Port Elgin NB. Don and Betty will also be remembered by 10 great grandchildren and one great, great expected grandchild arriving in May 2025.

Mom and Dad were reunited just 8 days prior to their 66th wedding anniversary on Feb 3rd.

Our entire family would like to give our deepest thanks to the RVH 3rd floor integrated stroke unit and Bayshore Home PSW for the incredible care they gave our Mom.

Until we see you again Mom and Dad- We will love you and miss you everyday
