With heavy hearts, we announce that Donald McLean Lindsay, son of Elizabeth Duff (Patterson) Lindsay and Donald McLean Thompson Lindsay, passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Glebe Center on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the age of 86. Born on May 6, 1938 in Glasgow, Scotland, he is survived by his sister, Margaret (Marjess Lindsay) Prokos, his loving daughters Tanya and Rosanne (Bruce), and his grandchildren Jordan, Ace/Amelia, Alexander and Cameron.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday January 23, 2025 at 12:30 pm at St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, 579 Parkdale Avenue, Ottawa. This will include a funeral service immediately followed by a reception in the church hall. Donald will be laid to rest, with his parents, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in London, Ontario.
Donations to the Ottawa Humane Society to honour his love of animals are appreciated.
