Clarence Donald 'Don' Cox passed away at the age of 93 at Stillwater Creek Retirement Home on Wednesday, September 28th. He is fondly remembered by his daughter Judith Cox, along with grandchildren Natasha and Alexander.
Don had a PhD and was a Nuclear Physicist. He was a gentleman-farmer, and a hermit who loved parties and he worked for a number of scientific institutions including the Canadian Space Agency.
Don was defined by his many, many friends who came from all corners of life. He wrote a regular column for an online publication called Boxtalk and showcased his fine command of humour. He loved his dogs and cats and chickens and while he has worked all around the world, digging in the garden was one of his most favourite things to do. He grew up in Moncton, New Brunswick and worked hard on the farm. As dementia took him over he would often reminisce about his father and life on the farm. Dementia was very cruel to Don who'd had a stunning intellect but he was able to remember his daughter, Judith, right up to the end.
