Donna Marie Bannerman

It is with profound sadness that the family of Donna Marie Bannerman (nee Carron) announce her peaceful passing on November 15, 2023 in her 80th year. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, Ken; children: Sean (Sherry) and Kelly (Brent); grandchildren: Noah, Mason, Tate, and Everett. She will also be greatly missed by her many dear friends, neighbours and her church family. She was predeceased by her loving daughter, Victoria; brothers, Timothy and Michael; and her parents, Timothy and Sarah Carron. Donna had dedicated her life to the care of children and had provided in-home daycare for countless families in her community for over 30 years. Each child that came under her care was treated as her own and she was immensely proud to have contributed to their lives and watch them grow and flourish into adulthood. In her retirement years she worked tirelessly to fundraise for her church and other various causes. A true champion of anyone who was in need, she always looked for a way to be a light to others and bring about positive change. A private memorial service will be held to celebrate her life per Donna's request. Donations may be made in Donna's name to the Sean Ryan Children's Fund, or Clarkson Road Presbyterian Church, 1338 Clarkson Rd. N, Mississauga, ON L5J 2W5. The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Kazem and the entire palliative care staff at the Oakville Memorial Trafalgar Hospital for their care and compassion.
