It is with broken hearts and profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Donna Elizabeth MacLeod on March 9, 2019. Predeceased by her greatest hero and mother Christine MacLeod (2005) and her father Brian Robertson (2016). Donna will be very sadly missed by her beloved cousins who she helped raise, Kimberly Ritchie, Emma MacLeod (Laura), Ryan Ritchie (Laura). Donna will also be sadly missed by her brothers Eric and Kyle Robertson. As well as Her beautiful nieces Ryleigh, Sophia, and Chanelle Ritchie, and her uncles Sandy, and Doug MacLeod. Donna leaves behind her fur-babies Tessa and B-Riley. Donna will be forever missed by very special "sisters" and BFFs Rebecca Alley-Wilson (Becky) and Penelope Lock (Penny)& their families, as well as her treasured friend and neighbour Nancy. Donna will also be sadly mourned by her many extended family members of the MacLeod, Robertson, and Longden families, and the Hamilton Beach Strip Community.
Donna was generous and a loyal and devoted friend. She was a force to be reckoned with. She had a larger than life personality and a smile that would light up any room. Donna had a brilliant mind and excelled in her career in IT. Always a researcher, she knew or would find you the answer to anything. Donna loved gardening and the beach, especially floating on Lake Ontario in her floatie. With the passing of Donna the world got a little darker by losing one of the greatest laughs, a laugh we will all vividly remember. A laugh that brought joy no matter how much darkness surrounded it.
In keeping with Donna's wishes, cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Donna's life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Hamilton Beach Rescue Unit 316 Beach Blvd, Hamilton. 1:00 – 5:00 pm.
