Donna Sutherland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Sutherland (nee Kilby), peacefully in her bed at Granite Ridge Care Community on Monday, August 12th 2024, age 84. Donna is survived by her sons, Morris (Barbara), and Shawn. Donna leaves behind her granddaughters Samantha (Chance), Stacey (Kyle), and her beloved three great grandchildren, Luke, Noah and Leo. Donna was a sister to many siblings, survived by Ronald Kilby (Donna), Cathy Kilby (Al), and predeceased by Margaret, Muriel Florence, Stanley, Marcel, Ivan, Lois, Doreen, and her twin brother Douglas. Donna also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. Donna had a zest for life, and made friends everywhere she went. Nothing made Donna happier than spending time with her friends and loved ones, bragging about her grandchildren, and a good game of Bingo. Donna was an active volunteer in the Vanier Ottawa community for many years and was always active in her local Legion’s. Donna was generous and kind and will be dearly missed. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Ottawa Cancer Centre and Granite Ridge Care Community, for their compassionate care. Internment will be taking place at St. James the Less Roman Catholic Cemetery in Eganville, Ontario at 11:00am on Saturday, August 24th, 2024.
