Doris passed away peacefully on the evening of May 31st, 2021 due to complications from a weakening heart valve. Doris was 92 years old, originally born in Alliston Ontario back on February 2nd, 1929. She was one of nine children born to Myrtle (nee: Langdon) and Herman Morrison. Two of Doris’ brothers (Oscar and Bruce) flew with the RCAF and passed away in WWII. Older brother Gerry served in the Navy in WWII and passed in 1999. Older sister Phyliss (nee: Fox) passed away in 2000, followed by older brother Ross in 2001. Youngest sister Helen (nee: Heeney) passed away in 2011. Older sister Betty (nee: Hazlett) passed away in 2018 in her 94th year. Doris missed them all dearly and especially her sisters who all had a very special bond.
Doris married Keith Clark back in 1950 and they were married for over 62 years before his passing in 2012 in his 86th year. They grew up in Toronto and Etobicoke before retiring to Bridgenorth and Peterborough. They enjoyed their years at the cottage and treasured the many friends in the area. Doris moved back to Etobicoke after Keith’s passing to be closer to family.
Doris was a loving mother to David, Don (Nancy), Cathy (Louis) and Bruce. Devoted Grandma to Chris (Melissa), Phil (Jacqui), Mike (Allie) and Alex. She will be missed by her many nephews, extended family and many friends.
Doris was a sweet and kind woman who was loved by all. She always said she had family who loved her and she was well taken care of, even through some difficult times. She is at peace with God now, and maybe even enjoying a game of bridge with her sisters, sharing fond memories and laughter.
In lieu of flowers, a donation made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Salvation Army would be thoughtful.
