Aged 86 of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on May 10, 2017.
She was born in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario on June 24, 1930 to Salome Grenier of French Canadian parents. She married Edward Augustine Lawlor from Dublin, Ireland on October 5, 1963 in Montreal, Quebec. One of 10 children, Doris possessed a genuine joie-de-vivre, despite being widowed at an early age with her husband Edward Lawlor’s passing in 1979 while living in Thompson, Manitoba, where she brought up her four children. Doris enjoyed life to the fullest from helping those in need with her volunteer work at the Royal Ottawa Hospital to her time fundraising at the Kidney Foundation. Over the years she lived through many adventures – even having Sir Paul McCartney find a chair for her to sit in at a Golden Globes party.
Doris Lawlor is survived by her four children, Norah, Edward, Ann, and Susan.
