Doris (Miloslavich) Radford

Doris Radford (née Miloslavich), age 83, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2021 at Saint- Vincent Hospital. She will be remembered for her love of family, friends, cats, good food and music of all genres.

Born on April 17, 1938 in Knin, Yugoslavia, Doris grew up an only child during the Second World War.  At the age of 16, she made the journey to Canada with her mother on the steamship SS Vulcania, and was reunited with her father in Halifax.  Doris made several trips back to her beloved home country of Croatia, and always spoke fondly of its beauty, fine food and wine, and the loving friends and family she left behind when she came to Canada in 1954.

Predeceased by parents Maria and Vlaho Miloslavich and husband Patrick Radford, Doris is survived by her loving children Anita Comeau, Darrell Comeau, Sheila Comeau and Jason Radford, by grandchildren Jordan, Eva, Max, Madeleine, Liam and Amelia, by extended family Wayne Radford, Tristan Radford, Carole Somers and first husband Carl Comeau.

We thank everyone who cared for her at the Westwood Retirement Residence, the Ottawa Civic Hospital and Saint-Vincent Hospital.
