Dorothy Mary Kehoe

Dorothy Mary Kehoe passed away peacefully by her family’s side on September 13, 2023, at Headwaters Healthcare Centre, Orangeville at the age of 80.

Dorothy, affectionately known as Granny, was a Matriarch to everyone she knew. She opened her door to everyone and if you were lucky enough to know her, you knew that you were loved. Anyone who was in need of a meal, a place to lay their head, counselling or just a loving kind word, Dorothy was always available and made time for you. In her prime, Dorothy had a passion for dancing and loved to entertain. Throughout her life she was met with many challenges but her faith in God was unwavering. Those who knew Dorothy were the ones who were truly blessed.

Dorothy Mary Kehoe, daughter of Jasper Alexander Banks Sr. and Dorothy Grace (Moses) Banks, pre-deceased by her loving husband Lawrence W. Kehoe and her son Sean Patrick Kehoe (1972-1975), survived by her daughter Doralee (Kehoe) Munns, son-in-law Stewart Munns, son Lawrence JT Kehoe, daughter-in-law Denah Kehoe. Dorothy was also blessed with 9 grandchildren (Jason, Shawna, Colin, Tiffany, Katrenah, Monique, Danielle, Shannan, Clayton) and 15 great grandchildren. Dorothy was pre-deceased by her brother Jasper Alexander Banks, her half-brothers Raymond Collins and sister-in-law Irene Collins, Gary Collins and sister-in-law Bonnie Collins, Lorne Collins, and sister-in-law Bernadette Collins, survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to everyone. She will truly be missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Dorothy on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 3 pm, at St. James Catholic Church, Colgan, 2118 Adjala Tecumseth Townline, with Fr. Eric presiding. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held immediately after the service at Doralee and Stewart’s home at 2117 Concession Rd 2 Adjala/Tosorontio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you have a Mass said in Dorothy’s honour.
