Dorothyann Summers

SUMMERS, Dorothyann (née Walters) died peacefully on Wednesday, January 20th in her 89th year. Dorothyann, a Deaconess of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, was the wife of The Reverend Malcolm Summers for 66 years. Mother of Mark (Susan) and Kirk (Nancy), grandmother of Jonathan (Isabel), Alex, Janet (Darren) and Jamie, and great-grandmother of Caleb, Chloe, Claire and Sofia. She is survived by her sister Rosemary Schmitt, sister-in-law Marion Summers, her beloved nieces, nephews, and their families. Dorothyann wanted only for the simple things in life and desired most of all that people would be good to each other and the world would be at peace. She was a gracious person of constant kindness and steadfast love who was entirely devoted to her family and her faith. Interment will be held in the springtime. Memorial gifts are gratefully received to Living Faith Community Presbyterian Church in Baxter, or The Barrie Public Library.
