Douglas Peter McLean

Douglas Peter McLean (Doug) peacefully passed on Friday, July 23, 2021, at the young age of 33, after a short stay at the Ottawa Civic Hospital.

Doug was a dear son to Joanne and Scott, and has given us so many proud moments through the years we will forever treasure. He was Brother and Protector to his much-loved sisters,  Reagan, Samantha, Melissa and Isabelle. A loving brother to Zack and Fun Uncle Doug to Morgan and Owen. Doug will be forever remembered for his love and participation in Rugby, Baseball and Hockey,  and his deep love, loyalty and dedication to his family and friends. We will miss him deeply, but memories will bring smiles and warm remembrances.

A Private Memorial Service has been planned. We would also like to thank the amazing ICU team at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Their care, compassion and tireless efforts to support Doug and our family is something we will never forget, you were so kind to our family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Doug’s name to the Ottawa Boys and Girls Club would be greatly appreciated. He will live forever in our hearts.
