Edward Douglas Campbell

July 14, 1941 — January 13, 2023

Toronto

Sadly, Ted peacefully passed away on Jan 13th. He is predeceased by his partner, Ricardo Abreut.

Ted was born in East York and attended East York Collegiate Institute where he was a star basketball and baseball player. He continued his education at Queen's University majoring in English Lit. After a short career as a teacher, he moved to NYC and into the world of bartending. Returning to Toronto, he bartended at the Brunswick House, Horseshoe Tavern and Lee's Palace. Ted loved holding court at the bar and in return his patrons revered him.

Ted was loved by all who knew him and will be especially missed by Nancy Dickinson, Wade Brankley, John Borra, and Deenie Flannery.

Heartfelt thanks to staff at Castleview Wychwood Nursing Home and TWH's Palliative Care Unit.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
