Stanford, Edward (Ted) Robert passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife of over 63 years. Beloved husband of Jennie. Cherished baby brother of Amy and Florence (deceased). Best dad ever to Connie (Ron), Christine, and Tina (Johnny). Doting grandfather to Jennifer, Joshua, Becca, Jesse, Matthew, and Leah. Ecstatic great grandfather to Faye, Hannah, Edie, and Ava. Ted was also adored as a second father to Gail and a step grandfather to Christopher and Hunter.
Ted proudly served as a corporal with the OPP for 33 years, commanding a platoon of devoted officers. His main focus in life however was his family and he spent 32 years of retirement basking in their love.
He will be fondly remembered by countless nieces, nephews, neighbours, and neighbourhood children.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service and reception beginning at 11:00am on Tuesday February 2nd at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery Chapel (737 Dundas St. E. in Mississauga). Flowers may be sent to the cemetery chapel directly.
