Eileen Constance Ballard

It is with a solemn and heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved family member, Eileen Constance (Ramrekha) Ballard, at the age of 88 years. Eileen passed away peacefully at the Eatonville Care Centre in Etobicoke, Ontario on February 27th, 2025, where she was lovingly cared for until her final blessed moments.

Eileen was a cherished teacher whose influence extended far beyond the classroom.  Throughout her life, she touched countless hearts with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.  As an educator, she dedicated herself to shaping young minds, sharing her knowledge, and fostering a love for learning.  Her passion for teaching and her warmth towards others earned her the admiration and respect of many.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Eileen eventually made her home in Mississauga, Ontario, where she remained connected to her extended family and friends both locally and abroad.  She earned her degree from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, and devoted her career to the noble profession of teaching.

Eileen’s radiant smile and friendly demeanor were her hallmark.  She had an innate ability to make others feel welcomed and valued, and her conversations were filled with wisdom, humor, and love.  She will be fondly remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

Eileen is survived by her loving family: her children, Harvey, Hawk, Radica, Linda, and Ayana. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David, as well as her sisters, Lynette and Viola, and her brother, Lenny.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Eatonville Care Centre for their exceptional care and compassion throughout the years.  Eileen's final years were made easier by their support, and we are forever grateful to them.

Eileen’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.  May she rest in peace.
