Eleanor McGrory (nee Lynn), 79, of Newmarket, Ontario, formerly of Dundee, Scotland, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at Southlake Regional Health Centre - Palliative Care, October 14, 2015 in Newmarket, Ontario.
At her request, Eleanor was cremated, and her ashes will be spread on The Law, a hill in the center of the town of her birth, Dundee. A celebration of Eleanor’s life will take place at a later date.
Preceded in death by her father Frank, mother Elizabeth, and brother Norman. Eleanor is survived by her sister Patricia, children Gill (Paul), Mike, and Debbie, grandchildren Ryan, Amanda, Sarah, and Katie, and her fur babies, Stellar, Abby, Mia and Marley.
Well-known amongst her friends for her Scottish sense of humour (perhaps not understood by all), her laugh and her beautiful smile, she will be sadly missed by all.
The Family wishes to extend their gratitude to Southlake Regional Health Centre Emergency Dept, especially Nurses Gail and Lori for their compassionate care; The Stronach Regional Cancer Center and Southlake Regional Health Centre Palliative Care Doctors and Nurses for their excellent care and support during the last month of her life.
