(Marjorie) Elinor Ruth Flemming, 94, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2022, at the White Eagle Long Term Care Residence in Toronto.
Elinor was born on December 4, 1927, to Earl Raymond Flemming and Gladyse Helen (Hall) Flemming in Queenston, Ontario. She was a dear sister to Clara Ida Jean (Chase) and Gwyneth Isobel Marie (Clements). Elinor was the caring Mother of Christopher Mark Flemming.
Elinor was a caring Aunt to Sandra (Vance), Allan, and Cheryl (Joe), children of Clara Chase (Bud), and Rod (Marge), Jeff (Sheraine) and Cindy (Chris), children of Gwyneth Clements (Fred), and a Great-Aunt to her many Great-nieces and Great-nephews.
Elinor was an avid reader who enjoyed learning new things. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, admiring the cherry blossoms in spring, and in her younger years she had fun golfing and cross-country skiing. Elinor also enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends, and she especially loved celebrating special occasions with her extended family whenever possible. She will be remembered for her lovely smile, her strength of character, and her homemade rolls and Brioche, which she loved to share at family get togethers.
A special thanks to the workers at White Eagle Long Term Care Residence, who lovingly cared for Elinor during her many years there.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
