In Memory Of Elizabeth “Bette” Andrechuk (Nash) November 1, 1926 – July 18, 2021

It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our Mom and Nan (Sister and Aunt). Bette Andrechuk passed away peacefully on July 18, 2021, in her 95th year. She will be dearly missed by her children: Katherine Andrechuk (Serge Lanoue), and Michael Andrechuk (Trace Gallagher), her brother Robert Nash, her grandchildren Vanessa Kinsley (Grant Wilkins) and Graeme Kinsley (Rebecca), her great-grandchildren Oscar, Sage and Freya, her brother in law Don Andrychuk (Kris), and all of her many beloved nieces and nephews.

Bette was born in Toronto, Ontario to Frank and Grace Nash, on November 1, 1926 and was the eldest of 6 children who she helped raise and with whom she remained close through her life. She met the love of her life, Adam “Andy” Andrechuk in 1947. They married in 1951 and were very happy for 52 years, until Andy passed away in 2003 with Bette by his side. Throughout their life together, Andy and Bette lived and worked in Toronto, Montreal, New York, New Jersey, Indiana and for several years in Michigan before finally moving back to Toronto in 1973.

Bette was a lover of excellent food, dancing, jazz music (Billie Holiday and Lester Young were among her favorites), and was always up for entertaining or a good party. She loved gardening, baking, cooking, watching a wide variety of movies and spending time with family and friends whenever possible. We will always remember her positivity and laughter and the way she always worked to make everyone feel special and happy.

Bette lived her life fully during her almost 95 years. We are, and will be, forever grateful to have had her with us for as long as we did.
