Esma (nee McNeil) Sobers

Esma passed away on April 3, 2016 after a gradual decline in health in Toronto, Ontario in her seventy -second year. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel and daughter Hannah. She is survived by her children Dolly, Mark, Godfrey, and Jessica; twelve grandchildren: Vashti, Fabian, Jerahmiel, Azariah, Elizabeth, Krista, Justin, Joshua, Jordan, Michael, Isabella, and Mayodele.

Born in Rocky Point, Clarendon, Jamaica, she grew up in Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of eighteen she joined her high school sweet heart and first husband, George Heath in England where they married and produced five children from their union. At the age of 23 Esma and her young family immigrated to Canada.

Esma pursued a fulfilling career with North American Life, as well as furthering her education in the field of Naturopathy. She went on to find companionship with her second husband, Samuel Sobers until his passing. The family warmly thanks everyone for their kindness and support during this time.

Friends and family will be received at Revivaltime Tabernacle, Durham, 550 Kingston Road, Pickering, on Saturday, April 16, 2015 from 11am-12pm. A funeral service will be held immediately afterwards at Revivaltime Tabernacle at 12pm.
