Esther Lillian (Donaghy) Gregan

Our matriarch Esther Lillian Gregan (Donaghy) passed away on September 22, 2023 at the age of 99. Much loved and will be so missed by her family Dianne Malinowski (John), Marlene Gordon (Brent), Sharron Winter (Mark) and Neva Rozon (Rob). Adored by her grandchildren, Kristina, Andrea, Dylan, Taylor, Simon, Ashley, Kait, Amanda, and Kayla along with her 11 great-grandchildren. Forever remembered by her three nieces Jan, Karen and Suzie and nephew Brian. Best friends with J.V. McAllister and Cindy. Predeceased by her one true love Ian (2001), her brothers Harry (and wife Jessie) and Kenneth, sister-in-law Irma and her Ian.

Born in Moncton, N.B.to Frederick and Harriet Donaghy. Mom & Dad met through his cousin and once married, they were posted to Kentville N.S., Werl Germany, Chatham N.B., St. Johns NFLD and finally Barrie. Her passion was piano and music and could never leave a weed unpicked or a flower not deadheaded. Known for her kindness, humour and love for candy, lobster and dulse. She enjoyed knitting, cribbage and her years with Purple Posies (Red Hats). Mom loved her weekends away with her girls, trips to Shediac and time with family. She attributed her longevity to a drink of rum each night.
