Eugene Theodore Arsenault

Eugene Theodore Arsenault was born on December 18 1944 in Margaree, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia and passed away on April 16, 2021 at Trillium Hospital from complications due to COVID. Predeceased by his father Raymond Arsenault, mother Clara Arsenault, Brother Gerald Arsenault and Sister Annie Rose Arsenault. He is survived by his daughter Kimberley (Brent Grigor) and son Shayne, & stepson’s Johnny and David (Bev Hachey) and both their families. His grandchildren Cody, Hunter, Shayla and Seth, Great grand children Ryder and Jaden. His baby sister Mathilda Arsenault, nieces Connie and April & nephew Michael.  The love of his life, Diane, who took great care of him and her son Rene and his daughters.

He was known by many different names, Eugene, Dad, Grumpy, Grampy, Uncle, Newf & Hank just to name a few.

Eugene had many friends and it was impossible to go anywhere with him without him running into someone he knew. A man with a big voice and a huge heart.  He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.  He touched many lives. He will be remembered for his love of playing the guitar and singing Hank Williams songs. Everyone that met him loved his hearty sense of humour and his willingness to help you out.

He is so missed, there is a void in our hearts that will never be filled.
