Evelyn Dorothy Chorney

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Dorothy Chorney in Belleville, Ontario on January 3, 2025 in her 89th year. Evelyn was born in Montreal, QC on April 17, 1936 to the late George and Jean (Petroski) Chorney.

Evelyn grew up in Toronto and worked for many years at Bell Canada and on her retirement, moved to Trenton, Ontario. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, garage sales, bingo and was a doting cat mom to a long line of much loved kitties.

Evelyn is survived by her sister Flo, and was predeceased by sisters Sophie and Anna. She was a loving aunt to Lynn, Lori, Terry, Kym, Jeff, David, Diane, Jim, the late Vinny and the late Gina, along with several great nieces and nephews. Evelyn also leaves behind her beloved cat Charlie and her dear friends Tamara, Henry and other friends in the Trenton area.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
