It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Evelyn [Jean] Conrad on July 24, 2019 at Queenswood Villa, Ottawa, Ontario.
Jean was born in Copper Cliff, Ontario on October 18, 1932. She was the oldest of 4 siblings born to Andrew and Pearl Guthrie (Moulton).
Jean was a caring and loving person who will be sadly missed by all who loved her and remembered fondly by those who knew her. Her kind heart, warm personality, and powerful love for her family were remarkable and unforgettable. In the final months of her life, Jean undertook a new beginning by moving to Ottawa, Ontario to live nearer to her family.
Jean is pre-deceased by her husband George [Randy] Conrad, and siblings Tom Guthrie (Rose) and Jim Guthrie (Mary).
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Conrad (Deborah) of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Brian Conrad (Lisa) of Ottawa, Ontario. She is also survived by her grandchildren Melissa Whittleton (Matthew) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Shauna McNally (Ryan) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Laura Baxter (Thomas) of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Jade Conrad (Mathieu) and Robert Conrad of Ottawa, Ontario, and 9 great-grandchildren.
In her passing, Jean's wish was to return to Nova Scotia and join her husband in their final resting place in Vogler's Cove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest a donation in Jean's name and honor to:
