Evelyn MacGregor

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn MacGregor on March 29, 2021 in her 90th year. Evelyn will be dearly missed by her son Alec (Gina) and her two grandchildren Jacob and Jenna. She will also be forever remembered by her sisters June and Jean, as well as all of her nieces, nephews and extended family and friends in Canada as well as the United States. Evelyn was predeceased by her sisters Edith, Marjorie, Barbara as well as her brother Bill.

Evelyn will always be remembered for her wonderful stories and her tales of growing up in Guelph. She loved to cook and was happiest sitting around the dining table enjoying a holiday dinner.

Evelyn graduated from McGill University and went on to have a long and storied career as a registered nurse. She dedicated her life to helping others in need.

She lived and worked in London and Paris as well as in the United States including New York, Texas, Oregon, Minnesota and Iowa before returning to Toronto Canada with her son Alec in 1983.

Our family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Fieldstone Commons Long Term Care home for their compassionate care throughout her years there.

At Evelyn’s request there will be no funeral and the family will celebrate her life privately. Should family or friends wish to express sympathy, the family suggests making a donation to your favourite charity in her name. Alternately, friends may choose to plant a memorial tree in memory of Evelyn.
