Flora passed away peacefully in her sleep with her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Glenn by her side. She was 92 years old and lived a happy and full life.
Beloved wife of the late James Robert (Bob) Woodworth. Loving mother of Jim (Kathy), Susan, Peter, Joanne (Glenn) and Paul (Laura). Grandmother to Colleen, Shelly, Laura, Jeff, Scott, Allison, Greg, Raine and Victoria. Great Grandmother to Bobby, Jade, Colin, Holly, Summer, Violet, Duncan, Malcolm, Hayden, Zoey, Bo, Paisley and Archer. Great Great Grandmother to Jax and Isaiah.
Dear Sister to Elizabeth, Emma, Ernest, Joe, Anne, Julia, Lillian, Clarence and Dezso (all deceased) and survived by sisters Joan and Donna. Auntie to numerous nieces and nephews.
Flora was born at home and raised in Saskatchewan on a huge spread of farmland to her Hungarian parents, Dezso and Grace Sandor. She stayed on the farm until she decided to venture out into the world at the young age of 18. She settled on the big city of Toronto where she met Bob and they fell in love. That was the beginning of the building of an amazing family where she would preside as the matriarch and would offer gentle guidance with a touch of grace and unconditional love and support to help her family grow into adulthood.
As a family, we often reminisce about the good times out at the farm in Erin. Our parents thrived there and had some of the best times of their life. We remember those years as good times, good food, fresh air and lots of work. None of us would have it any other way.
Flora spent her last 4 years at the Sundial Retirement Home in Orillia where she enjoyed playing Bingo, rocking out to the live music and line dancing with her friends..
Flora remained a quick wit with a sharp memory right to the end. We were all very lucky to have had her in our lives and we will all miss her dearly.
The family would like to thank the compassionate support shown to Flora during her few days at the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hosptial and all the support workers that were involved in helping her make the move out to Joanne's house. They all went over and above and for that we will be forever thankful.
We will have a Celebration of life next summer.
