Frances Marie McGillawee

F Marie McGillawee ( Rogers) (Nee Lyon) of Sarnia ON.

Passed peacefully at the age of 64 in London Health Sciences Centre.

She is survived by her beloved step-mother Phyllis Lyon, her sister Sandra (Jim), daughter Melanie (Jen), grandchildren Jesse (Rebecca), Skyla, Rhyan (Buster), Jaylynn and Tristen as well as many loved family, friends and her little dog Maisie

Predeceased by her father Pat Lyon (Peter), mother Jean Fowler, step-father Elgin Fowler, daughter Melissa, and grandchildren Jayse and Austin, and her favorite cat Jamol.

Marie was proud to spend most of her career working in long term care as a hairdresser. She enjoyed world travel, watching the baby birds grow up each spring and giving back to her community by volunteering. She loved her family and friends fiercely, she was a powerhouse of a woman and will be remembered for her selflessness, sarcastic nature and love for adventure.

Cremation has taken place. All are welcome to attend her graveside service at Blackwell Cemetery on January 11, 2023 at 3pm followed by a celebration of life open house to be announced at the service. The family invites you to bring a copy of a favorite photo or story that you may wish to share for a book of her memory.

We wish to thank the staff at the Transplant clinic and the CCU at LHSC University for the excellent care they have provided to Marie over the last few years.
