Francis Flood

b. May 29, 1962

Francis Flood was born on May 29th, 1962 in Placentia, Newfoundland, to Allan and Elizabeth Flood.  He grew up alongside his siblings George, Lorriane, Alice, Betty, Allan, Florence, Arthur, Agatha, Mary, Stan and Barb.   Growing up Francis loved to skate, go to the woods and gather wood to bring home.  Francis also loved working in the fish plant in Argentia with his family and friends.  Later in life he grew to love cleaning, where he spent many years at City Centre Baptist church and would spread his infectious spirit to everyone who he came across.

In 1985 he and his partner Carol Ann Williams welcomed their son Jonathan Willams.

In 1993 he moved to Ontario where he'd soon start dating his wife Josephine Murphy(Predeceased). Over their 18 years together, they would go on to raise three children; Crystal, Brian and Melissa. Sadly, Josephine passed away in May 2012.

Francis always spoke highly of his children and 9 grandchildren. Christopher, Matthew, Andrew, Gavin, Colton, Lillee, Avia, Harlee and Levi. He also treasured all of his nieces and nephews he had in his life.

In 2016 he fell in love with his wife Nancy where they spent 7 years together.  Francis loved to tell everyone about Nancy and her two sons Patrick and Chris. Francis and Nancy always enjoyed going out for a night on the town which usually involved them dancing the night away.   Francis adored his wife Nancy and took care of Nancy until the day he passed.

Francis had a heart of gold, he always had a smile on his face and made friends anywhere he went.  Francis was well known in the port credit community as he rode his bike while singing his newfie music up and down lakeshore.  Everywhere he went he was known as "Uncle Frank''. Francis loved going to the waterfront festival for fathers day pancake breakfast. Francis was always the life of the party, he loved to sing and dance especially when it came to newfie music.  He enjoyed a cold Coors light and never missed an episode of wrestling and soap operas.

Francis will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew him.
