Bud grew up in Port Burwell. He worked for CP Rail for 35 years. He lived in London for most of his adult life, returning to Port Burwell when he retired at age 55. Bud and Irene loved to travel and spent the last 32 years wintering in Florida with their close friends. They travelled many times to see family in California and Las Vegas and took a wonderful tour of Europe. Bud spent his summers repairing the commercial fishing nets. Bud was an avid collector of coins, Matchbox antique cars and ball caps. He had Alzheimer’s for the last 9 years but never suffered a day thanks to his loving wife Irene and family.
An incredible husband, father, uncle, grandad, and friend; he filled our lives with love and laughter.
Thanks to Meg Klass (PSW) and to the staff at Terrace Lodge that provided exceptional care to Bud, we are forever thankful. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in his memory.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
