In Loving Memory of Fred Andrew Brown
April 24, 2025
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Fred Andrew Brown, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and Poppy, who left us on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the age of 71 at his home in Mississauga Ontario, surrounded by his wife and children.
Fred was a man defined by loyalty, strength, and quiet devotion to his family. He was a hard worker who gave everything he had to the people he loved. He spent over 30 years as a dedicated truck driver for Wilson’s, a job he took pride in and showed up for with the same reliability and work ethic he brought to every part of his life.
At the centre of his world was Sharon, his wife of nearly 50 years. Their story began when they were just teenagers, growing up together, building a life hand in hand, and raising a family. Their bond was a rare kind of love — built on decades of shared experiences, unwavering support, and deep respect. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this summer, a milestone that speaks volumes about their journey.
He was a devoted dad to Jody, Kathleen (Brian), and Brad (Jan-Mari), a big brother to Dale and a proud Poppy to his eight grandchildren: Hayley, Brooke, Leah, Ava, Travis, Hunter, Lola, and Sawyer. He lit up when talking about them, and there was nothing he loved more than watching his son and grandsons play hockey - or brag about how smart, talented and amazing all of his grandkids were.
Poppy was quick with a joke and full of sarcastic charm. He had a sharp sense of humour that could make anyone laugh, and he never hesitated to lend a hand or show up when it counted. He didn’t need to say much — his actions spoke for him. He was generous, dependable, and deeply devoted to his family.
His passing has left a hole in our hearts that words can’t fill. Though we are heartbroken, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace — and we will carry his spirit with us in every memory, every laugh, and every family gathering where his presence will always be felt.
In keeping with Fred’s wishes, we will be celebrating his life with a small family gathering in a place that holds many special memories.
He was deeply loved. He will be deeply missed.
