Frederick Albert Clark

September 7, 1937 — November 5, 2020

Frederick Albert Clark passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Thursday November 5th, 2020. He was born September 7th, 1937 in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. Cherished husband for 59 years to the love of his life, Barbara Clark and loving father to his daughter Heather (Gerry) and son Fred. Loving Grandfather to Emma, Josh and Tyler. Fred is predeceased by his parents Veronica Aubert and Albert Clark.

Fred treated Barb like a queen. They spent every minute together and enjoyed time at their winter home in Fort Myers, Florida. Fred lived in Niagara Falls Ontario where he worked at Cyanamid for 38 years. He was the District Commissioner of Scouting and loved camping, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors. He was an expert gardener and loved growing vegetables for his family to enjoy. Fred made the best wine and won many awards for it. He was a very creative person and over the years he made beautiful woodworking projects for his family. He had a talent for looking at something and then being able to create it himself. His family is so lucky to have all the beautiful things Fred created. In retirement, Fred and Barb moved to Port Dover where he spent his time looking after the yard and exploring the beach on Lake Erie. He loved walking the shoreline and collecting “artifacts” with his granddaughter Emma.
Fred had a great sense of humour and a wonderful smile. He loved a good home cooked meal and he was a great chef himself. He did not like a fuss to be made over him but he did enjoy making a fuss over others. Even in his most recent battle with dementia he somehow kept his sense of humour. He fought right to the end. We are so grateful that he is now at peace.

Fred’s family would like to thank the PSWs and Nurses at Victoria Village Long Term Care Centre for looking after Fred the last couple of years. Cremation has taken place and due to the Covid19 pandemic a memorial will be held for immediate family at a later date. Condolences can be forwarded to Barb Clark at 34-74 Ross Street, Barrie ON N4N1G3.
