Garrett Brown

Peacefully on November 16, 2015 at the Ottawa Hospital Trauma Unit surrounded by his family. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years of marriage, Therese Plante. Dearest father of Louise Ogilvie (Scott), Michael Brown (cathy), and Kevin Brown (Sheri). Loving grandfather of Sara and Melissa Ogilvie, Emilie, Cameron and Alision Brown, and William Brown. Survived by his sisters Noreen Gibbons (Ray deceased), Eileen DesRivieres (Roger), Ann Ryan (Bob), and brother Gerry Brown (Barbara). Also survived by his sisters-in-law Annette Patenaude (Remi), Fernande Plante (Lucien deceased), Laurette Plante (Roger deceased), and Nicole Plante (Fernand deceased). Will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Garry retired after after 36 years with “Ma Bell”. Proud to be an active member of the community, Holy Cross Parish, The Knights of Columbus, and The Holy Cross Mixed Parish Bridge Club for 46 years. We wish to thank Dr. Sandoz and Dr. Yelle as well as all the nursing staff from the Trauma Unit at the Ottawa Hospital for their wonderful care and support. A Celebration of Garry’s life will be held at Holy Cross Church on Saturday, November 21 at 12pm., 685 Walkley Rd. followed by a gathering of friends and family in the parish hall. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Lung Association or charity of your choice.
