Gary Blake

Gary Evan Blake died peacefully after a sudden illness on Sat April 5, 2014.


Gary was born on August 5, 1934 in Toronto, Ontario, the second of 5


children born to Oscar and Flora Blake. He enlisted in the Canadian


Air Force at age 17 and was stationed in France when he met the love


of his life Anna. They were married in 1956, and shortly after left the military


to start a new life in North Bay, where he began a long and successful career with IBM.


Gary and Anna had a wonderful life full of adventure and travelled the world together.


Gary will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Anna, his children


Michael (Beth), and Sandra (Julian), siblings Pearl, Glenn (Dianne), Lynda (Peter),


Gail, and his grandchildren Christopher, Sarah, Rebecca, and Kaitlin.


A private memorial service will be held by


the family at a later date.
