Gary Paul Nietvelt

NIETVELT, Gary – Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on April 16th, 2022. Predeceased by his parents Therese (nee Spoorenberg) and Gerard Nietvelt from Holland. Survived by his loving wife Marika (nee Potyondi). Loved by his children Kyle and Tyler (Aly). Missed by his siblings Myra Nietvelt, Cliff Nietvelt (Trina Davies), his brother-in-law Joe Potyondi (Tina), and his nieces and nephews Hailey (Sam), Devon (Tori), Matt, Chris, and Greg (Makhaila). Loved by all his family and hunting friends.

Gary was beloved by his family and friends, with whom he shared a lifelong bond over their love of hunting, the great outdoors, and soccer. Gary spent his final 3 months in Hospice Simcoe, where the staff and volunteers cared for Gary and his family around the clock. With their loving support, Gary's final wishes were realized, and he passed peacefully with his wife Marika by his side.

Visitation with refreshments will be held at Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices - Jennett Memorial Centre, on Wednesday April 20, 2022 with cremation following.
