George Irenee Menard

Toute la famille a la tristesse de vous faire part du décès de George, le 31 octobre 2022 dans sa 58e année.

Il laisse dans le deuil sa fille Samantha (Joe), sa petite-fille Melanie, ses frères and soeurs, Roc (feu Lin), Lucie (Brian), Andrée (Jean-Pierre), Hélène, Paul (Tom), Céline, et David (Diane), son beau-fils Jonathan (Megan et enfants Jericah, Aleigha et Gemma), ainsi que ses neveux et nièces.

George est prédécédé par ses chers parents, Marcel et Jeanne D’Arc. Il sera sûrement manqué par plusieurs amis et ses collègues chez Robert Excavating.

George est né à Ottawa, a grandit à Blossom Park et a jouit des sports en plein air tel la pêche, le camping et la chasse avec son père, ses frères et amis.

À la demande de George, une prière sera récitée lors de l’enterrement des cendres au Cimetière Hope, route 31, Ottawa, ce 10 novembre à onze heures et demie.

Les dons en son nom aux charités de choix seront appréciés.

La famille désire remercier Amna pour ses tendres soins et le Dr. Haggarty de l’unité des soins palliatifs à l’Hôpital d’Ottawa.

It is with great sadness that the family of George announces his passing on October 31, 2022 at the age of 58 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Samantha (Joe), his grand-daughter Melanie and his brothers and sisters, Roc (late Lin), Lucie (Brian), Andree (Jean-Pierre), Helene, Paul (Tom), Celine, and David (Diane), his stepson Jonathan (Megan and children Jericah, Aleigha and Gemma), as well as by his nieces and nephews.

George was predeceased by his loving parents Marcel and Jeanne D’Arc. He will be missed by numerous friends and co-workers at Robert Excavating.

George was born in Ottawa, grew up in Blossom Park enjoying the outdoor sports of hunting, fishing and camping with his dad, brothers and friends.

At George’s request a prayer will be recited at the burial of ashes at Hope Cemetery on Highway 31, Ottawa, on November 10th at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice in his name would be appreciated.

The family wishes to thank nurse Amna for her thoughtful care and Dr. Haggarty in the palliative care unit at the Ottawa Hospital.
