George Parr Watts

July 15, 1939 — January 12, 2022

George Parr Watts the son of Mr. Ralph and Mrs. Vera Clark Watts grew up in the city of Montreal Quebec, with his four brothers Noel, Clive, Winston, and Darwin. George attended McGill University where he studied accounting. He became the Executive Director at the Canadian Dental Association, and the Director of Finance and Administration for the Conservative Party of Canada. George worked on Parliament Hill amidst the fast pace and enthusiasm of running a national campaign, and in 1986 became a fellow in the ICIA. George’s career in public service led him on an unexpected path to becoming an owner of the Moses Nickerson House Inn, in Chatham MA, USA. Dad’s contribution to his community continued in the role of President of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce, and as the President of the Wakefield Meadows Home owners Association in Rhode Island. George’s diplomatic leadership, his compassion for others, and his intelligent foresight are just a few of the fine characteristics that enabled him to establish the Shepherd Memorial Foundation, funding students education. George loved skating on the Ottawa canal, down hill skiing vacations, travels to Western Canada, and June picnic’s with his grandchildren seaside on Harding beach. George is predeceased by his first wife Gwendolyn Margaret Hughes and is survived by his two daughters, Pamela and Andrea with their spouses, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews their spouses and children. George will be deeply missed, continually remembered, and always honored.
