Gerald Edgar "Gerry" Fraser
Passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018 at the age of 91. Predeceased by his wife Isabel (nee Arthur). Loving father to David (Sherry), Nancy (Tim), Brenda (Mark) and Donna. Grandfather to Becky (James), Jessica, Cody, Monica (Rob), Brendan, Bryan (Leah), Kaitlin, Sarah, Laura and Sandra. Predeceased by his sister Althea and brothers Doug and Eldon. Survived by sisters Hazel and Lorena. Gerry was born in Prince William, New Brunswick, he completed high school and joined the Army as a Boy Soldier at the age of 17. Following WWII, he attended University of New Brunswick to become a Professional Engineer - Electrical, and moved to Ontario to work at Ontario Hydro. His greatest loves were Isabel and his family. He was a Charter Member of Beaver Valley Ski Club and loved spending time at the family chalet in Beaver Valley. He was fortunate to have the opportunity to explore much of the world, collecting mountains of travel brochures and pamphlets from the places he visited. Funeral will take place on Saturday, September 22 at 11:00 am at St. Johns United Church, 56 Victoria St East, Alliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Royal Canadian Legion, Sunnybrook Veterans Centre or Shriner’s Hospitals for Children - Canada.
