Gholamabbas Rahbar

Gholamabbas (Abbas) Rahbar, 69, of Toronto, ON, passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family, at Humber River Hospital, on March 28 th 2019 after a short and fierce battle with Interstitial Lung Disease.
Abbas was an incredibly loving father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his children, Barzin Rahbar (33), Lena Guirguis (37), his Son-in-Law Shadi Guirguis (44), and the light of his life, his grand daughter Arya Katerina Guirguis (2.5). Abbas also leaves behind his sisters and brother in Iran, his nieces and nephews and an incredible network of dear friends, who truly were his family, and were there loving and supporting him until the very end.
His huge heart and gentle soul will leave a void in the hearts of everyone who has ever had the pleasure of knowing him, and his wisdom will be passed along for years to come. True to Abbas' zest for life, the family will be hosting a celebration of life at the home of his daughter on Saturday June 8 th , 2019 from 2-6pm.
