Glenford “Glen” Minshall died at home on January 25, 2023, at the age of 72, surrounded by his family after battling ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Pre-deceased by his parents William and Irene, Glen is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Nault) and his children Natalie, Kevin (Marla), Nicole, and by his grand-daughters Charlee and Lucy. He will be missed by his siblings: Dennis (the late Lois), Barbara O’Connell (Doug), Robert, Elaine Gibbons (Mike), Donna Monroe (David), Edward (Nancy), Lucille Baird (Gerald), Janet Edwards (Mike), Paul (Maryann), Lyle (Mary Jane), Clyde (Krys), and by his half-siblings Debbie, Billy and Brenda, and step-siblings from the Barnett family. Many, many nieces, and nephews also feel his loss. He loved his dog Dingo and grand-dog Pixie, both of whom are missing him terribly, as well as many cats and other critters.
Glen worked for many years in construction and sales. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, and riding his Goldwing on the open road. He loved sci-fi movies, and a good laugh at comedies like The Minions. Glen was a big part of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Lindsay where he led the youth group for a number of years. He loved to laugh and share funny videos, photos, and saying on his Facebook page.
Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 97 Wellington St, Brantford, on February 10, 2023 at 11am with interment at the Farringdon Burial Ground in Brantford. In lieu of flowers donations to the ALS Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
