Glen Alan Pridmore

August 25, 1949 — August 9, 2024

Glen Alan Pridmore, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished member of his community, was called to heaven on August 9, 2024. Born on August 25, 1949, Glen was the fourth of seven children born to Anne and Fredrick Pridmore in Toronto. He grew up on Argyle Street, surrounded by his siblings Barbara, Brian, Carl, Glenda, Jimmy, and Jackie, in a home filled with love and laughter.

Glen's entrepreneurial spirit was evident from a young age. At just 15, he began managing the Maple Leaf Confectionery store on Ossington Avenue. His dedication and hard work continued as he took on roles in plastic fabricating at Cadillac Plastic and later in neon sign design at Brill Light.

On June 1, 1974, Glen married the love of his life, Suzanne, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond. Together, they were blessed with two daughters, Robin-Ann and Lesley Kay, who were the centre of his world.

Glen's passions were many, from his love for the game of pool and golf to his enthusiasm for horse racing and the occasional lotto ticket. However, his greatest joy came from his love for his family and friends. Glen was known for his generous spirit, always willing to help those in need, often giving the shirt off his back to ensure the happiness and well-being of those he loved.

Glen is survived by his daughters, Robin-Ann and Lesley Kay; his grandchildren, Christopher, Alanna, Julianna, and Johnathon; and his great-grandchildren, Julius, Kassius, and Adonis. He also leaves behind his siblings Barbara, Brian, Carl, and Jackie, as well as a wide circle of friends who were like brothers to him.

Glen is predeceased by his former wife and best friend, Suzanne, and siblings Glenda and Jimmy.

A memorial service to celebrate Glen's life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM at St. John's Dixie, located at 737 Dundas Street East in Mississauga. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Glen, who touched many lives with his kindness, humour, and unwavering love.
