Ewing, Gordon Edgar “Moe.”
Passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at Saint Vincent Hospital on July 7, 2016 in his 84th year. Loving husband of the late Elizabeth (Klein) Ewing. Beloved father of Steve, Gerald, the late Linda (Bill Holmes), Karen (Robert Wilson) and Marc (Melissa). Proud Grandfather of Kyle, the late Kara, Dane, Nicholas, Mitchell, Jordan, Brandon and Jacob. Great grandfather of Ariana. Cherished brother-in-law of Lilian and the late Yvan Quintin. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Moe lived life to the fullest, with his family being his greatest joy and accomplishment. He had a heart of gold, was humble, unselfish, generous and giving. He had a strong work ethic which was seen in his 20-year service with the Canadian Air Force, the first part of which was spent mostly in Europe in France and Germany where he met his wife.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at Hope Cemetery on Friday, July 15 at 12:30.
Memorial Donations in Gordon’s name may be made to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre.
