Guy Godard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guy Godard, age 63, on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, in Ottawa, Ontario.

Guy was born on November 27th, 1957 in Kapuskasing, Ontario. He graduated with honours from the Ontario Business College with a major in Business Administration. He worked for the Department of National Defence in Finances before he followed his heart to Switzerland. There he resided for the next couple of years before returning to Canada and starting his family. Guy was an employee of Bell Canada for 25+ years and was awarded the Corporate Services Synergy Award.

He was very intelligent and loved working with numbers. He had a passion for music, photography and loved a good thrill from time to time, whether it was skiing in the Alps or jumping out of a plane with his skydiving buddies. He also loved spending time outside “en pleine air” and was an avid sports fan. Guy had a caring soul for others and always held his kids, family, and friends close to his heart.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses deux enfants Léanne et Jonathan Godard; ses parents Léa et Marcel Godard; ses deux frères Gaëtan (Julie Guillemette) et Roger Godard; ses deux neveux Jérémie Doucet et Daviel Doucet; et son best friend/cousin Bob Lebrun. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses tantes, plusieurs cousins et cousines, ainsi ses meilleurs chum et autres ami(e)s qu’il tenait proche à son cœur.
