Hang Zhou

July 31, 1968 ~ May 13, 2021 (age 52)

On Thursday, May 13 2021, Hang Zhou, devote loving mother and wife passed away. After a long, hard-fought battle with cancer, her soul has left for a better place. Her strength, lively spirit and integrity to always do the right thing without asking for reward will forever be an inspiration. The memory of her will forever be in our hearts.

Born in Xi’an, China to doctors Zuwei and Hongming, she studied and worked there till her mid-20s. Her adventurous spirit took her to Singapore, where she worked to seek a better life for herself and family.

Ultimately Hang and family settled in Ottawa, Canada, where she worked, cared for and raised her 2 sons. Hang loved to cook, travel and spend time with family and friends. Her life was not always easy but she persevered and made the best of it. She missed the food and family at her home in China and visited as often as she could. Hang was an extremely loving and dedicated mother, as well as a loving and cheerful friend to many. She will be missed dearly.

A private funeral service will be held, and a commemorative tree will be planted in her honor.
